LinkBoard provides tools that allow registered users to create, customize and publish a personal link board. Users are responsible for the content, links, media and public information they add to their own boards.
Users must not use LinkBoard to publish illegal, harmful, misleading, abusive, infringing, fraudulent, or otherwise unauthorized content. LinkBoard may restrict, suspend or remove access to accounts or boards that violate applicable law, third-party rights, platform security, or the intended use of the service.
2Service availability
LinkBoard is provided as an online service. We aim to keep the service available and stable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, security updates, hosting incidents, third-party providers, payment providers, or network failures may affect availability.
3Premium subscriptions and payments
Premium features may be offered through paid subscriptions. Payments and subscription management may be processed by third-party payment providers such as PayPal. The exact price, billing period and plan conditions are shown before purchase on the membership page.
Premium access may depend on successful payment confirmation and may be cancelled or restricted if the subscription expires, is cancelled, refunded, disputed, or fails to renew.
You can cancel a subscription at any time from the membership page. Cancelling stops future renewals and premium access continues until the end of the period already paid for; the free plan continues afterwards without your board being deleted.
4Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data LinkBoard may collect, why it is used, and how it is protected. The service may process personal data such as account details, public profile information, board content, uploaded media, analytics data, support messages and payment-related subscription status.
Personal data is processed for purposes such as creating and maintaining user accounts, providing the board editor and public pages, securing the service, responding to support requests, enabling premium subscriptions, improving product functionality, and complying with legal obligations where applicable.
5Data we may process
- Account data: username, email address, password hash, display name and account settings.
- Board data: profile text, links, blocks, themes, templates and public board configuration.
- Media: images, avatars, backgrounds or files uploaded by the user.
- Analytics: views, link clicks, top links and basic performance information for the user board.
- Support data: title, category, message, images and the registered email used for replies.
- Payment data: subscription identifiers, plan status and renewal/cancellation information received from the payment provider. Full card or payment credentials are not stored by LinkBoard.
6Legal bases
Depending on the context, data may be processed to perform the service requested by the user, to comply with legal obligations, based on user consent, or based on legitimate interests such as service security, fraud prevention, product maintenance and support operations.
7Public content
Public boards are designed to be shared. Any information, links, images or media that a user adds to a public board may be visible to anyone with access to that board URL. Users should not publish personal, confidential or third-party information unless they have the right to do so.
8Your data rights
Where applicable privacy laws apply, users may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of their personal data, and to request portability of their data. Users may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise privacy rights, contact us at mail@linkboard.net using the email address associated with your LinkBoard account so we can verify the request. You can also delete your account yourself at any time from Settings, which removes your boards, uploads and statistics.
Complaints. If you believe your data is not being handled lawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection supervisory authority. In Spain this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es); in other EU/EEA countries, the authority of your country of residence.
International transfers. Some providers we rely on (for example payment processing and email delivery) may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the safeguards those providers offer, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
9Data retention
Account and board data may be kept while the account remains active. Certain data may be retained for longer where necessary for security, backups, legal compliance, payment records, dispute handling or legitimate business purposes. Users may request account deletion from their account configuration page when available.
10Third-party providers
LinkBoard may rely on hosting, email, analytics, payment, storage and infrastructure providers to operate the service. These providers may process data only as needed to provide their services to LinkBoard or the user.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or profiling.
Content from other services on boards. A board can include blocks that show content from other services: Google Maps, YouTube, Spotify and Instagram. When you open a board with one of those blocks, your browser loads that content directly from the service, which receives technical data such as your IP address and may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy. A YouTube video only loads its player when you press play.
11Cookies and local storage
LinkBoard may use cookies or similar technologies to keep users signed in, maintain security, remember preferences, operate the editor, and measure basic usage or board analytics. Disabling cookies may prevent login or essential features from working correctly.
In practice that is a single session cookie, set when you log in and used to keep you logged in, and your browser's local storage, which the editor uses to hold the undo history of the board you are editing on your own device. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites. Content that a board embeds from another service (see Third-party providers) may set cookies of its own.
12Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account data, including password hashing and restricted access to operational data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and users should keep their login credentials safe.
13Changes to this page
This Legal Notice and Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational improvements. The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date.
